About us
NAPA was founded in November 2024 by Victoria Raha Sigaroudi and Nora Orrevall Granberg. It began as a Facebook group where Nordic medical students and physicians could find community while exploring U.S. training pathways. The informal peer-to-peer advice quickly evolved into the Nordic American Physicians Association, a member-led network of more than 1,100 on Facebook.
Today NAPA offers practical guidance, shares opportunities, and provides mutual support to help members take the next step in their careers abroad. Our mission is to bridge the gap between the medical communities of the United States and the Nordic countries by fostering collaboration, professional growth, and cultural exchange. Through webinars, networking events, and shared resources, we empower members to navigate career transitions and build lasting professional connections across borders.
